Brief content | Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) can comprehensively compare process design alternatives and aid in selection of the most feasible ones. Our attention was focused on different performance indicators used for assessing material and energy utilisation, process economics, inherent safety and environmental burden. The subject of the analysis were carbon capture alternatives for hydrogen production routes via steam methane reforming of natural gas. Simulation data were utilised in MCDA based on analytic hierarchy process to determine ranking of studied process routes. Different sets of performance indicators were studied as decision criteria and multiple decision scenarios were developed with various significance of chosen decision criteria. |
