Brief content | Certain ionic liquids are able to dissolve cellulose. The aformentioned solution mixed with water will induce a sol-gel transition. This gel like substance can be put into a microbial fuel cell as a separator. In our study we tested this membrane in MFC and measured its various properties. The obtained values suggest that this membrane is similar to Nafion. |
