Brief content Next to traditional biological methods used in wastewater treatment, Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) and ozonation processes are widely used for degradation of micropollutants and priority pollutants. This paper aims to study degradation of chlorinated pesticides lindane (γ-hexachlorocyclohexane) and alachlor [2-Chloro-N-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-N-(methoxymethyl)acetamide] by means of heterogeneous Fenton reaction (Fe0/H2O2), catalyzed ozonation (Fe2+/O3; Fe3+/O3), peroxone system (H2O2/O3) and ozonation processes (O3).
