Brief content The temperature-dependent vapor pressure of 1,4-PDO was first calculated in the range of 395.0–496.5 K and correlated using three-parameter Antoine and Clark-Glew equations. Temperature-dependent viscosity, density, and refractive indexes were measured at 293.1–363.1 K and 291.2–333.2 K, respectively. At atmospheric (p = 101.3 kPa) and reduced (p = 50.7 kPa) pressures, the isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria of 1,4-PDO and 2-MeTHF were determined. Wisniak thermodynamic consistency test3 was used to examine the experimental data, which was then correlated with Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC activity coefficient models, which were analyzed using the Van Nest test.4 The models used were determined to be suitable for representing VLE data.
