Brief content 3D bioprinting technology has found its essential application in the fabrication of complex structures from biomaterials and biomolecules included in printable bioinks. This study focuses on optimizing 3D bioprinting of alginate-gelatin based multilayer films incorporating active ingredients aimed at antibacterial applications. Also, relevant bioink properties, e.g., gel strength and cohesiveness, were investigated to provide insight and better understanding of the hydrogel system behaviour.
