Brief content | Presented contribution focuses on preparation and characterization of polystyrene (PS) foams by method of thermally induced phase separation, which allows preparation of foams with open-cell structure, closed-cell structure or even their combination. The principal goals of this contribution are: (i) to introduce an unconventional method of polymeric foam preparation called spinodal decomposition (SD), (ii) to present properties of PS foams prepared by this method, and (iii) to compare influence of frozen solvent removal method on foam structure. |
