Brief content | To efficiently remove emerging pollutants (EPs), appropriate treatment process should be considered. As one of the large groups of EPs antibiotics are considered. Their typical characteristics reduce their susceptibility to conventional biological treatment. Chemical oxidation processes are viable options for effective treatment, but they are relatively expensive for complete mineralization of pollutants. The aim of the study was to assess feasibility of photo-Fenton ozonation (O3/Fe2+/H2O2/UV) for removal of micripollutants, frequently present in municipal wastewater and surface waters as well. As a model compounds Levofloxacin, Vancomycin and their mixture were used. |
