Brief content Mean residence time of waste and biomass in a rotary kiln reactor were investigated using laboratory scale equipment. The rotary kiln reactor were used to carry out torrefaction of municipal solid waste. Static and dynamic characteristics of rotary kiln reactor were analysed in terms of mass flow rate, g/min.
