| Brief content | In the present work, the activation process of Mg-La supported cobalt catalysts was examined. In-situ XRD experiment has confirmed the transformation from lanthanum oxycarbonates to lanthanum carbonates, but it was insufficient to determine the presence of cobalt. Complementary XPS experiment showed that the reduction of cobalt occurs only on the surface and it depends on the sample preparation method. |
