Brief content The paper presents the research on the selection of microorganisms using n-butanol and cyclohexane as a source of carbon suitable for the efficient removal of mentioned compounds in a biotricklng filter. The examined microorganisms were six isolates obtained from a peat-perlite packed biotrickling filter. Five isolates were identified as Candida albicans, while one was identified as Candida subhashii.
