Brief content | The liquid-liquid equilibrium of the cyclohexene + water + DMSO and cyclohexanone + water + DMSO ternary systems was experimentally investigated at a temperature 295.15 K and atmospheric pressure. The binodal curves were determined by the cloud point titration method under isothermal conditions. A significant difference in the refractive indexes of conponents makes it possible to use refractometric method to analyze compositions of equilibrium liquid layers with a sufficiently high degree of accuracy. Bachman and and Othmer-Tobias equations were selected to check and confirm the reliability of the measured tie-line data. Correlation coefficient (R2) were close to 1. Phase diagram of ternary systems were built and analyzed: for cyclohexene + water + DMSO system splitting region is of open type and for cyclohexanone + water + DMSO – of close type. |
